Working working working...

Finished my first 2 weeks of work... did my first night duty ( Which was amazingly booooring) and will soon be getting my very first paycheck!!!! man, cant wait!!!!
though i have to say, i do wish there was a job i could get that offers 7 days off a week and involves sitting around doing nothing...
anyone out there know of jobs like that??
Anyone at all?????

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows..

Finally, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows... the day it was released, my friend evelyn took the earliest bus to pass stop 26 to the city to wait. i was a bit slower, i overslept. i was then rudely awakened by my phone ringing. it was evelyn telling me to catch the next bus down to the city. apparently there were 'we love harry' balloons and people dressed up as the characters of Harry Potter. i missed all that though and arrived outside Borders to see the long-ass line starting from the entrance all the way to goodness knows where. people of all ages where there waiting with coffees in their hands. there were even a few who had brought foldable chairs and sat themselves right outside to start reading their book straightaway. the atmosphere was fun i suppose, and exciting.
well. the book was awesome. so many twists and turns and surprises. i couldnt put it down!!! it was so unputdownable it had me reading it till 2 in the morning. but it was sad in a way, so many people died!!!! Hedwig, Mad eye Moody, Fred Weasley, Dobby, Lupin, Tonks.. had me crying my eyes out when dobby died, it was just so sad. well, thats life. people grow up, people die... was a little disappointed at the fact that harry really didnt return to hogwarts and that there wasnt any quidditch in this book but all in all, it was a good one. and an unforgettable ending to one of the greatest series of the decade.

HARRY POTTER ROCKS!!!!

I Finally watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix!!!! the special effects and the action in this movie is just excellent, especially the scenes in the ministry of magic.. the duels between all of them were so so so so so so so so cool.. but lots of things were done wrongly!!! the worst of all was that Dumbledore didn't have his half moon glasses on!!!! i mean, that to me is the biggest most terrible mistake of alllll!!! how can dumbledore be dumbledore without his half moon glasses??? and they missed the part out where prof. macgonagall n hagrid are attacked by the ministry people during the students astronomy OWLS exam... was sorta waiting for that and also the part where harry n friends went to the hospital and saw professor lockhart and neville's parents... oh well, guess if they had to fit everyone's favourite scenes that movie would go on for hours... but really liked luna lovegood's character though.. she's just so cute and weird!! and the DA scenes were pretty fun too.. i guess all in all, it was a great movie and he characters are much more mature here with more conflicts and worries and stuff.. harry seems more angry here too.. and then there's his first kiss with cho which was, he said, WET hahaha.. can't wait for the sixth film.. but right now, am just waiting for the last book!!!! cant wait to get my hands on it before everyone else finishes the book and tells me who died and reveals all those damn spoilers... please just dont let harry or any characters i like die!!!! dumbledore dying is bad enough.........

Crabbit Old Woman

What do you see nurses, what do you see?
What are you thinking when you look at me?
A crabbit old woman, not very wise,
Uncertain of habit, with far-away eyes.
Who dribbles her food and makes not reply
When you say in a loud voice, ' I do wish you'd try.'
Who seems not to notice the things that you do,
And forever is losing a stocking or a shoe,
Who unresisting or not, let's you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding, the long day to fill.
Is that what you're thinking, is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, you're not looking at me.
I'll tell you who i am as i sit there so still.
As i move to your bidding, as i eat at your will.
I'm a small child of ten with a father and mother;
Brothers and sisters who loves one another.
A young girl at sixteen with wings on her feet,
Dreaming that soon now, a lover she'll meet
A bride soon at twenty- my heart gives a leap
Remembering the vows that i promised to keep
At twenty-five now i have young of my own.
Who need me to build a secure, happy home.
A woman of thirty my young grow fast,
Bound to each other with ties that should last.
At forty my young now will soon be gone,
But my man stays beside me to see i don't mourn.
At fifty once more babies play round my knee.
Again we know children, my loved one and me.
Dark days are upon me, my husband is dead.
I look at the future, i shudder with dread.
For my young are all busy rearing young of their own
and i think of the years and the love that i've known
I'm an old woman now and nature is cruel
Tis her jest to make old age look like a fool
The body it crumbles, grace and vigour departs.
And now there's a stone, where i once had a heart.
But inside this old carcass a young girl still dwells.
And now and again my battered heart swells.
I remember the joys, i remember the pain.
And i'm loving and living life over again.
I think of the years- all too few, gone too fast.
And accept the stark fact that nothing can last
So open your eyes nurse, open and see
Not a crabbit old woman, look closer- see me.

This poem was found among the possessions of an old Irish lady who had died in a geriatric hospital. the poem so impressed Batha Rainey, a young nurse on the hospital staff that she sent a copy of it to the Northern Association for Mentsl Health. the old lady. Kate, was unable to speak but was often seen writing.
